Stones

There are many uses for garden stones and rocks, besides pathways/driveways, as concrete component (Cracker Dust Blue Metal or Road Base), you can consider rocks and stones as a non-organic mulch. They do not decompose and are very decorative like Blue Metal, recycled Brick, Pea Gravel or other rocks.
It helps to keep the soil cooler by shielding it from the sun, prevents evaporation and weed growth and it obviously looks good.

  • ROAD BASE

    $30.00$180.00
Road Base is a combination of various sizes of Blue Metal mixed in with Cracker Dust. The mix binds together really well and compacts to make the perfect base under pathways and paving, while offering good drainage properties. It can also be used to make concrete by adding cement and water.

  • CRACKER DUST

    $30.00$180.00
Cracker Dust, also known as decomposed granite, Blue Metal Dust or Crusher Dust, is a fine crushing of our local blue metal. It is most commonly used as a base under artificial lawns, in paving screeds and also can be used in pathways and driveways. Cracker Dust compacts down well while continuing to provide good drainage. You can stabilize Cracker Dust with Soilbond or Cement to aid compaction and reduce erosion.

  • CRACKED PEA GRAVEL

    $50.00$300.00
Cracked Pea Gravel can be used as a path or driveway. It will remain loose on the surface due to the lack of fines/dust to enable compaction. But the “cracked” edges gives it the ability to lock in to each other and is less slippery than the whole gravel. It also works well in native gardens and landscapes as an alternative to wood-based mulch as it doesn’t degrade over time. It provides the soil with some level of sun protection and allows for excellent drainage. Usually a depth of 50mm-100mm is recommended. We suggest installing Geofabric underneath to stop the aggregate from mixing in with the existing sand, and to help control weeds. 12mm in size
